Is any filter good for my home or business?
One of the main mistakes that are made and money is only spent or wasted when purchasing a filter is Not knowing the quality of the water entering your home.
- The first step to knowing which water filter we need (if we really need one) is to know for sure the quality of the water that comes out of our tap.
- If we do not know what contaminants it has, it will be difficult for us to make the right choice.
- Where does your water come from? Is your water chlorinated? Does it come directly from a well, river, or lake without prior treatment? Does it have nitrates? Lead? Arsenic?
- Does it have a bad taste, smell, and/or color?
- You are not just purchasing a product, you are making the choice that will help the health and economy of your home.
Is it good to use activated carbon filtration?
Activated carbon filters are used to remove free chlorine from water. They are also used to remove organic compounds such as humic and fulvic acids that make water suitable for drinking.
Like UV light water purification systems or reverse osmosis, these systems cannot remove impurities such as metals or all types of microbes from your water.
But definitely, if the water supply in your home becomes contaminated with a higher concentration of chlorine or suspended particles, then you should resort to an activated carbon treatment.
Is it necessary to install a water system on all the taps in the house?
This really comes down to what type of contaminants are present in your water. If your water contains a contaminant that is only dangerous if consumed (or cooked), it is best to install treatment systems on all taps used for this purpose.
It may not be necessary in others. If the contaminants are harmful to washing and other tasks, all faucets in the house may require a treatment system. The most important first step is to identify what is in the water and the risks (if any) that those contaminants pose when consumed.
There is chlorine present in my water. Is it bad for your health?
Chlorine is commonly used in drinking water systems to kill harmful bacteria and pathogens. In small amounts, chlorine is generally considered safe for health. However, long-term exposure to high levels may lead to health concerns such as respiratory issues or skin irritation. If you're concerned about chlorine levels in your water, consider using a filtration system or water treatment method that reduces chlorine content for peace of mind.
How and where can I test the water?
The first step in purchasing a water purifier is to test the quality of the water. Be sure to only visit state-certified water quality testing labs. The water analysis test report indicates which contaminants are present, including a general analysis:
- Physical analysis: concentration of metals, such as magnesium, lead, etc.
- Chemical analysis: concentration of chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride
- Microbiological analysis: turbidity control (measurement of water turbidity due to invisible bacteria, turbidity, suspended particles, or smoke)

What is ionized water and what are its health benefits?
Ionized water is water treated by electrolysis, magnetization or by a chemical procedure. It can be acidic or alkaline depending on the PH value.
Water has a PH equal to 7. Any different PH indicates the presence of ions, electrically charged particles, dissolved in the water. So when we refer to ionized water we are referring to acidic (low PH) or alkaline (high PH) water.
How can water be ionized?
Water can be ionized by electrolysis, magnetization, or by a chemical process. Most ionizers on the market are alkalizing devices, however, there are some that allow water to be ionized to use acidic water for cleaning and disinfection.
- Benefits of ionized water
- Among the benefits awarded to you are:
- Improvement in bone mineral density
- Prevention of certain cancers
- Symptomatic improvement of gastroesophageal reflux disease (it would inhibit the activity of an enzyme related to reflux, and in this way, it could directly reduce gastric acidity).
- Cardioprotective effect
